There are a variety of solar incentives available to those who get solar installed on their property. Take a look at all the options to see what you might already be qualified for. This is not an exhaustive list, as programs are updated and added over time.

Minnesota Power - Solar Sense Program
Available to customers of Minnesota Power.
Minnesota Power offers a solar incentive of $0.29/kWh for solar systems. The total combined rebate and incentives cannot exceed $5,000, or 60% of installed costs, whichever is less. The total budget for 2024 is $87,675; once funds are exhausted for the year, rebates are no longer given. This incentive is lottery-style with applications opening on March 1, 2024.
- The system must be installed within 90 degrees of due south.
- The system must be installed with a panel tilt between 10-50 degrees.
- The system must be installed with 10% or less obstacle shading, per an industry accepted tool.
- Both modules (panels) and inverter must be installed to receive an incentive.
Polk-Burnett Electric - Solar Rebate
Available to customers of Minnesota Power.
Minnesota Power offers a solar incentive of $0.29/kWh for solar systems. The total combined rebate and incentives cannot exceed $5,000, or 60% of installed costs, whichever is less.
